How hard to get parts for these engines now.

Are there any electrical parts or parts for the motor that are hard to source now ? Thanks for any help.

Not really at the time as far as I’m aware. I never had an issue. But they are getting older which means it’s always possible

I haven't run across any issues finding parts for the engine either. Not yet at least.

That is good to know, I have never owned one and know how well people who take care of them love them. I am going to look at one and this was my only concern.

I just bought a Dodge P Pump, the truck part is not so great and it needs a tranny but that motor makes up for it. I will more than likely keep one of the 2 and I am a Ford guy.

I know on the newer 6.7's parts could be a problem from what I was told.

Thankyou...

Nice truck Brett...

Thanks!

I love Cummins engines and the older dodge trucks looks, but they fall apart quick. If given the choice I'd definitely keep the OBS Ford. Given today's used car market you can sell the dodge and still probably come out ahead.

I agree the truck looks great and it is falling apart, I have 2 OBS already 2 F350's and one is the Factory T model, this is a 1999 truck so it is the newer cab. I love the old Cummins as well but the rear window is falling out the hood floats around when driving down the road and the AC needs a little work and I hear the AC in these is not real good. It's a 98 and the last P Pump before 98.5 when they replaced it with the problem child from what I read.
