1953 (??) Canadian F600 VIN Decode

We have just acquired an older F600 Farm Truck that I would like to get more information on. We have been told that it is a 1953 model, the last year of the flathead V/8. There is a tag on the firewall as well as a tag for a rebuilt engine from Engine Rebuilders in Edmonton.

Any information that anyone can provide would be appreciated.

5 lug widow maker wheels.

Engine tag indicates a .040 overbore, and the crank mains and rods turned .010. According to the 30 seconds of research I did, a .040 overbore is easy and the flathead will take .125 in some cases.

For trucks of this age, the '48-'56 forum has folks more familiar with the codes and warranty plates etc.

I will move this to that forum if you want. However, you can stay here and open a second thread there. Your choice.

85e150,
Yes, please move it over to that forum and we can see what kind of response we get. Thanks

The main thing that I'd like to confirm is the model year as I'm not able to decipher that from the tag on the firewall.

Moved from Large Truck. I hope someone here can decode the info above and help Al-Berta learn more about this truck.

It is a 53 but 54 was the last year for the flat head in Canada..

Neither of those tags give much of a clue about the truck.
One is a build tag that says it was a standard cab truck (81A).
The other rebuilder's code says the engine was bored .040 over, Main bearings ground .010 under, Throws (connecting rods) ground .010 undersize and they indicated it was in a truck that was an F37 with a 239 V8 - which is interesting as the head shows 1CM ( 51 Merc car heads on a Ford engine? )
You need the serial number to give you more details and I'm not sure what that looks like in 53.

Perhaps your title will show it? It should also be stamped on the top frame rail.
Nice truck!
