When listing something like this, it would be very helpful knowing where your at. So please list your location and if your willing to travel or have it shipped to you.

Timing and luck are helpful. I found a bed locally through Craigslist and the bed was sold, but the guy had a 64 bed already shortened but not completed. He offered it to me for free and would deliver it for $100. That was both timing and pure luck there.

You may be better off looking for a whole parts/ non-running truck. Take what you need and sell the rest.

Lizardman, you must be somehow related to a friend of mine, who falls into free stuff, and people deliver !!

I always must pay-up in greenbacks and seldom get a break on $$$. But, the chase is fun, and always makes for a good day while out looking over stuff for sale within driving distance.
I just did drive 200-plus miles one-way to trailer home a '62 keeper short bed 2wd pickup that i stumbled into while responding too late for a '61 unibody 4x4. I asked the guy if he may know of a '61-'64 parts truck, and he said YES, his dad has a '62 he may part company with, so i rented a U-haul and drug it home. LoL
Therefore, I hit paydirt by asking. more luck than anything. _ _ and i did not procrastinate.
DMV got me for $500 in back penalties to obtain a clear title, but I cried once and paid the $$$, and walked out with a clear Title in hand and a Non-Op to-boot. California dmv is a guessing game.
