Looking for Shop Familiar w/ Restomodding
 

I have a newly restored 1960s Ford truck. The shop that completed the project focuses primarily on body work, but they can do mechanical as well. As normally happens, the build grew as time went by and the mechanical upgrades became extensive – e.g. Coyote engine/trans installation, front IFS suspension swap from a Ford Crown Victoria (i.e. cop car), aftermarket 4-link rear suspension installed, power steering added, swapped out drum for disc brakes, c-notched and boxed chassis, etc. I’d like to have it checked bumper to bumper from a mechanical perspective..sorta like a second opinion to ensure the work was done correctly. I've driven it several times, and it’s definitely better than stock (ie. Twin I-beams up front and leaf springs out back), but I have no way of knowing if it could be better as this is my first time driving an old vehicle with major mechanical upgrades.

Now for my question…can anyone recommend a few shops, either in my area (i.e. Raleigh/Durham) or in NC (willing to travel a bit if necessary), that would be well suited to give my truck a thorough assessment and make adjustments/changes if necessary? I need a person/team with extensive experience in restomodding. I can’t take it to your run of the mill garage shop, because they spend all day working on Ford Explorers, Honda Accords, etc. I need someone very familiar with Classic trucks – especially, classic trucks that have been heavily modified.

Hey csm_274 welcome to FTE. I don't have an answer to all those questions, however I might be able to give some advice on at least part of it. There is a shop out in the 4042 area that does dyno-tuning, and they are used to working on modified vehicles. They should probably be able to tweak all the settings to get your new motor running perfectly. They are called RPM Motorsports and the address is 310 Shipwash Dr # 101, Garner, NC.
