My family says I bleed Old "Ford Blue"
Hi Everyone! I have enjoyed some benefit prior to joining and need ongoing help with my projects! It is always a good thing to pool knowledge. I am currently struggling with my 1960 F100 4x4 with the Dana 24. The input shaft doesnt feel right and I need to know if I can just replace the input bearing and seal without doing a major removal. Any help is always MOST EXCELLENT!

Wow you have a very nice flatbed there! I bet those are even more rare. I traded my 1959 F250 2wd my dad helped me build at age 15 for Red in 1994. I had to pony in a shotgun and half motorcycle ownership but it has been well worth it! I got mad at my 292 about 10 years ago and decided to blow it up for a reason to change it....guess what happened? I made it all the way to town (10-12 miles in second gear) wound tight and it said "NOPE not going that easy". Needless to say I have more respect for the turkey now. And by the way I also fixed my frustration with it by putting a 1967 Fairlane carb on it and wow it runs fantastic! (side note I had to figure out an adapter to seal the bottom of the carb but if anyone wants to switch its actually pretty common baseplate from 1985Tbird 255). I have been driving these trucks my whole life and have a respect for all of them.
