Ranger 2.3L > Air Bypass Valve Idle Speed Control > does it go by another name?

:-tap Hi All;
:-X02 Have this valve that I have seen in a pictorial and is on the throttle body of my 90 Ranger 2.3 ~ 4 banger. It is called an "Air Bypass Valve Idle Speed Control". The TPS is also on the body, (that I know is there). Does anyone know if this valve goes by another name? Can't find it in my Haynes Repair Manual!

IAC Idle Air Control.
I don;t think that it is on the throttlebody on the 2.3. It may be off to the side of the throttlebody and connected by hoses.

Throttle body response!

:-tap Hi lxman1;

:-X02 Thank you for your response!

Just went outside to confirm what I had said in my previous message:

After looking at another picture (this one is in the Haynes repair manual, page 4-12, illiustration 12.12) shows the same valve but it looks like the name has been shortened to an "Air Bypass Valve".

It looks exactally like the"Air Bypass Valve Idle Speed Control" that I found on a carb in:

Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums > Misc. > Fuel Injection, Carburetion and Fuel System > Where is the TPS sensor?

And as I also reexamine the TB illiustrations in the Haynes manual, I notice that there TB's have hose pipes coming from them, mine don't. On the TB, the TPS looks as if it is recessed between this "Air Bypass Valve Idle Speed Control" + the EEGR valve + both of the latter are staged outward cause of the way the TB casting is constructed, facing directly toward the firewall. Both TPS + "Air Bypass Valve Idle Speed Control" are screwed directly into the TB + are operating it :-X01 (I took them apart to inspect + clean them. This is why I know, what I know).
COME - BACK!
