Car show mishap WTF !!

This is the result of NOT having a neutral safety switch on your trans . Some rat rod POS ramp truck was started in gear during the day at the show Sun . & I was parked across from him . Why you need to start your loud POS rat rod during the day is beyond me . I am ****ing PISSED. I really didn't need this . Made Father's Day a real downer . NEW never turned on NOS headlight is trash . Rim ring & retainer ring is toast . Maybe the head light bucket . Lower fender ext. will need body work & lower gravel pan will need repaint . Bumper will need to be straightened

I hope the guy is coming good for it although it doesn't make it any less stupid . PS in my professional opinion that's at least $3000 damage .

Denny, I am so sorry for your misfortune. You'd think a car show would be the one place that your truck is safe!

I hope your truck can make a speedy recovery.

Oh wow,I'd be pissed myself.hopefully he was apologetic about it. But now you gotta take the time to get this all fixed in the beginning of car show season!

Well accidents happen, fortunately it sounds like no one was in between it when it happened so you have that going for you. The world is full of knuckleheads and sometimes I am one of them LOL! Good thing is that those parts are readily available still in NOS condition.

Bummer that your super nice truck is damaged. You didn't say anybody was hurt. Hope not. That could have been serious.

What is a POS? You mentioned it a few times....

That be the one . I have some pics of it . Will post when found .It is a late 40's chev. with duals on the rear . It is very large . Had a rat rod on the back also . Had $$$ for custom one off wheels (6) but not a very inexpensive neutral safety switch .. He builds these POS units for a living .

Really lucky no one got pinched between the trucks. Stinks for your truck though

Sad to see! Does he at least have insurance?

As far as the gap between the frame and valance, I don't think there's a spec or a "right" number. Obviously should be equal, L-R. My front clip takes a "set" when I pull up my driveway (steep and at an angle), even on sharp corners, it takes a while driving for it to settle back down. Try loosening the radiator saddle bolts and shifting the front clip around.
