90 460 coolant bypass hose
 

just picked up this f250. needs coolant hoses badly. there is a bypass hose next to the lower coolant inlet hose. same diameter. very sharp 90 to a very close inlet. is there a way to install a new hose without removing the water pump? tried warming new hose in the sun and using soap on the inside to make it slip on easier. no luck. other ideas/shortcuts? perhaps soaking hose in hot water? Silicone spray on the inside of the hose.

so far i've tried first soap then vasoline. both helped but still no go.
