1992. 460 F250 Manifold/carb switch

I was given a an Elderbrock intake manifold and Holly 4 barrel carb for a 460. My question is how hard and what would be needed to switch out the fuel injection to a carb and what installation problems may occur.?. Any help with this would be appreciated.

Stick? Easy.

Automatic? C6? Easy. E4OD? Pain in the dick.

Manifold carb switch

Ok , one last question I hope. The Edelbrock manifold I want to use is an older type manifold. My engine is a 1992. My question is when I remove the fuel injection will ANY 460 intake work. Thanks for the help.

I'm curious about your question.

I know that 460's had different heads for EFI.

Someone else can chime in. I know Diesel Brad is well versed on the 460's and several other members.
You may want to do a search.

Good luck!

Only EFI intakes will work. You are better off getting an adapter for a carb to fit on top of the existing EFI manifold since the intake ports (and exhaust) are in different locations for EFI versus carb. heads.
