1994 5.8 Injectors Staying open too long

I have a 94 Bronco with the 5.8. It has a rough idle and runs rough down the road. According to the computer, the injectors are staying open too long. Any idea what could be causing this? Thanks.

I'll take a shot at this...

Have you checked for stored codes? The CEL doesn't need to be on to for codes to be stored.

If the injectors are being held in longer as you say, that would tell me the injector pulse width is being increased due to lean condition the PCM/ECM is receiving from a sensor(s).

Most common is the O2 sensor. If it's failing, it can do so on the Lean end.

Also if a sensor such as the ECT, IAT(ACT) or TPS sensor gives false reading. This could be due to a falling IAT(ACT) or ECT sensor.
