locked up rear wheel on 78 f600

Tried to load up the f600 to bring down to boise from Seattle last weekend but also the right rear dulley won't turn even after a push and pull from the mini excavator. my guess is the brakes are just rusted up anyone have any tricks or is this going to end with me disassembling it?

Does it move at all? If you jack up the other side, can you turn the drive shaft and have the other side move freely?

Trying to rule out differential issues. You might be able to pull the stub axle out if it's differential issues.

Had the same thing happen on my 76'. The return spring on the brake shoe broke and wedged itself tight. Had to rig a bottle jack up to pull the drum off after trying unsuccessfully to beat on it awhile.

My '76 F600 was froze up. Brake shoes stuck to the drum and self adjusters froze. I soaked the self adjusters with PB and then used an O/A jewelers torch to free them up. Once I backed off the self adjusters I was able to use a bar to pry off the drum.

Do not try to salvage the shoes instead of replacing them.

So I pulled off the wheels, and have been alternatively hitting the drum with a rubber hammer, and spraying brake cleaner in there (hoping it might eat into some of the rust) but still no luck after about a week of this process :P , I put some brake fluid in the brakes just in case I could get some pressure to move the break shoes and get them to perhaps break free a bit that way, so far it's holding the fluid but I haven't been able to bleed them so it might just be sitting on air.... Beyond that the clutch and flywheel are still stuck together, so wondering if there's any solutions that work for one or the other or both, as some of the solutions I've seen people do kind of require one to be free for the other one to get unstuck... I've got about 1-2 inches of resistance on the clutch pedal but no more than that.

I checked the differential, it seems to be fine, for example if you jack it up and put it in gear it rotates the other tire just fine, although the right one stays perfectly stuck. Tried using the Ebrake to pop the clutch and flywheel apart but it's pretty weak and although you could hear the engine bog a little bit it didn't kill it and the tire kept spinning. Any other thoughts on how to get through this part of the project is very much appreciated!

You sprayed brake cleaner on what?

Inside the brake drum through the adjuster holes.

So we tried breaking it free with fork lift power still no luck. thinking next might be to fill it with brake cleaner and hit it with a hammer while under tension as shown. Any other ideas out there?

Well lesson learned always use a bigger hammer. hit it a few times and it broke free! Now it's on to unsticking the clutch
