Driving on highway these are the readings I was getting at times the trans temp got up to 203 truck is unloaded just my self in the vehicle. What are safe range for oil and transmission ? I'm sure I'm just being a little paranoid since this is new to me , Tyrant tow tune installed. Thank you

The transmission has a thermostat. The fluid does not circulate through the transmission cooler until the thermostat opens. It is not uncommon for it to read approx 203 to 205 and then cool back down.

and oil ? What would be the safe temps for those so I know Hey you need to pull over

Oil temps usually low 200 to 220 and can go to 245 when towing in the hills. It will drop quickly back from the 245 after you crest a hill.

and trans ?

Trans, 230-240 and I'd let it cool. I have never seen that hot for the trans. Around 220 when pulling heavy is about all I see.

I've seen some 1100° in my stock engine. You would be shutting down early if you stopped at 1000°

My transmission temperature has hit 232°F without the system complaining. I figure I'll take a break should it hit 240°F since everything else would be getting hot at that point also.

Thank you again everybody since the surgery she has been a completely different beast just the drive ability is much nicer as was the shift points, I can see easily how people can burn through tires with a heavy foot.

My 2011 trans temp is 188.. takes a bit to get there but stays pretty constant even when towing... coolant 190+ -.... monitored through my tuner plugged into the obdii
