Good looking ride, man. I'd totally rock that thing. Glad you got it all sorted and back to 100%.

Thanks for the compliment. It's driving great this week so far. No regrets here. Just gotta get back on the big red one...

Well, pulled the dash Sunday for the ol' broken pass side tab fix. Since Ford quit selling it bronco graveyard luckily sells a replacement. No more rattling and swapped in some fresh door speakers.
If only I could make my radio work correctly now.

Radius arm bushings on order for the creaking front end. Suxs because to look at them they should be good. Oh well, I have yet to own a twin I that I didn't put a set in lol
All otherwise is good. Using no oil or cool and and no leaks. Life is good!

I just like making you and Grandpa proud. He is a good truck that will get loved on. I'm just very honored to be the caretaker of such a fine machine.

well the radius arm bushings really started making noise. They really weren't terrible once apart. I'm a lil perplexed but hey they are done now.

see that piece between the spring and metal centering part? That's a plastic spring centering deal. Yea that's the pass side..
It's deteoirated on driver's side. That's letting the spring contact the spindle.

Need a replacement for the driver's side. I found that the spring is off center and actually contacting the spindle. Now that's an odd noise.

DIYMechanic 05-13-2019 07:08 AM

That's a little odd... Those radius arm bushings don't really look all that bad, either.

Watch where the shock goes into the spring mount on the frame, that was next on my 95.

fordman67 05-13-2019 01:12 PM

Oh ,rust is not an issue lol.
Yea Nate, the back up plastic ring was the worst offender. I sprayed some lube on it and noise stopped mostly for a few days.
It's all good tho,new Moog were like 25$ and then these deals are 12$ each. This deal will be in the books tomorrow.

Welp, I have been kicked in the jewels for 2 weeks now. This noise is a fun one to find. Last night I made a brake thru finally. The fender to door gap has always been wide at the bottom. I was suspect of that and the rear cab mounts we're for sure sagged.
Long story short the cab is basically sitting on the upper trans crossmember bolts. That makes an odd groaning, popping noise that's hard to duplicate when you try to find. I guess this coming week I'll Rob Clifford's body mounts to fix this deal. No loss since Clifford will never get back together any way.

That last sentence sucked just saying.
