My centurion cc f150 project

Long time ft'er but mostly over on the 94.5-97 psd section.
A few months ago I was down in Texas with a fellow ft'er buying him a work truck from yet another ft'er.
Long story short we we're at the rubber ducks house getting some death row diesel project in, meeting and getting to know the man,the myth the legend.THE "rubber duck" . He had this cc centurion f150 that was bought new by his grandfather. I tried to ignore it but after returning home a few weeks later I got my 04 navigator ready to sell and paid for this 94'.

That is as I found it the first time I saw the ol' gal.

I'm just going to show some progress on the "grandpa" truck here and maybe help someone at some point on any centurion questions.

Grandpa arrived in South West Indiana wed March 20. Of course I was at work so my wife received it and got to drive it across the street to home.
She approved of this buy so life is good.
I have to say at 119k miles this thing rides, drives, sits as nice as I can hope for.

he had lots of tps codes resulting a , check engine light and trans shifting oddly (all of Wich I was aware of when purchasing)
A new oe tps fixed everything up .
Changed oil, lubed chassis. All front end components nice and tight.
I'm just going to start with maint items and get everything proper for daily used for a while.
At some point some body work and paint will be done. The roof like all centurions will need some metal work.

one more tidbit it got the power point swapped for some USB charging ports and the radio got an update as the oe tape deck no longer had volume control.

Lol, I'll try.
i sure love driving it!

It's nice you know the whole history of the truck. Sounds like not much work and it's a runner.

TPS most annoying simple part to fix. Can't wait to see a new rear bumper on that truck.

Yea, I thought I had a good used one lined up. I think it has fallen thru now. I may attempt to straighten it for now. Them suckers are not cheap to buy.wow.
Yea having to remove the tb suxs. That reminds me I need to get throttle body cleaner too. The TB was good and gunked up like normal.

Also did some steering box adjusting tonight . I think it's pretty close. I'm cautious to not over adjust in a single session without driving to see how it is.
It's raining so a test drive can wait untill tomorrow.

Yea it's pretty good. I will have to pull the engine soon tho. Freeze plug on pass rear head is leaking(another thing I knew about beforehand) soooo.. I'll yank it out real quick and do all of them with an oil pan gasket and slap back in. Should be a day job on the weekend no biggie.

When the weather gets nice power washing under and sealing up will be in order. This sucker is so rust free...I don't want that to change.

Nice find!
I can't wait until you take some pictures of the frame, to see if they did it like my C-350 Bronco Centurion

My roof too needed some work, but it wasn't a big deal

Sweeeeet! Man, I love that truck. I wish I had a good bumper to send you, but the only one I have wouldn't suit that truck (it's and XL painted piece that will likely end up on Todd's Mare 2.0).

Subbed Aaron, I know you’ll make this one look great too.
