2100 Autolite Trouble Hot air Choke!!

Hi there people I need to find out how to install my hot air choke to my 1969 F-100 truck with a 360. There does not seem to be any stove or any location to run heater tubes. I had a manual choke before but I am trying to run this hot air choke because my other carb is really screwed. Any help would be awesome. I am not very skilled but Im trying to learn just need to be pointed in the right direct please.

You're truck should have been originally equipped with a manual choke. If you're trying to convert you'll have to get the correct right side exhaust manifold that is equipped with the internal heat stove. Just a note of warning; these exhaust manifolds have bolts that are notorious for snapping off after 50 years so your choke upgrade project could result in a major cylinder head removal project. I'd stay with the manual choke.

Electric choke would be very simple to do. Just need to use a power source that is switched by the ignition.

If you want to stay with mechanical, try one of these kits. It will grab heat from the manifold and get it to the choke without having to deal with anything. Just clamp it around the manifold and attach piping to choke housing.

I use part of that kit and copper tubing for my 300 six wentry with EFI exhaust manifolds there is no way to pass the tubing thru them.
I took the copper and wrapped it around 1 of the tube a few times then up to carb. I even used the white tube insulated part.
Works so far.

Or just convert it to electric choke for 15.00. The parts are dime a dozen on Ebay.

Ok I feel like converting it would be cool. Is it hard to do I mean I would love to get this done over the weekend. Also I wanted to go and just pick up a different CARB; which one would be my best option for a manual or electric carb? A carb just to play it safe.

If you want just a full new carb the clone 2150 carbs on Ebay have proven to be good.

Where might I find some write ups on the 2150 clone in this forum?
Have seen them on Ebay and had thought about trying one but have not read any feedback on them by member on this site.
