Black out giant Ford Oval emblems
My Lariat Sport should be here any day now. Was very excited about the Sport package....the amount of chrome on the Super Duty turns me off.
The last issue....the ever bigger Ford emblem in the grill and in the tailgate. Really sticks out on the Sport package. ideas on simple way to cover it without looking like crap? Dont really want to spray with PlastiKote, but that's one possibility. Rather not spend money on having a custom one done. other ideas? Prefer it to just be black. |

I stuck on a black vinyl cover on my agate blk sport f350 which only covers the blue oval but keeping just the outer chrome one emblem. Taking off emblem on front n back looks like a pain in butt

three 10mm nuts hold the front emblem on to plastic studs. you can unbolt the grill and pop it forward without removing the bottom of it. use socket to remove the three nuts and the emblem comes out. If you don't have stupid long skinny arms it you might wanna just pull the whole grille out, just need a long screwdriver to push the bottom tabs to release it. I taped off the blue, cleaned the chrome with degreaser, sprayed adhesion promoter and painted the chrome satin black followed with a clear coat, made a big difference IMO. Before and after...
