Bullnose quarter panel

hey guys. Does anyone know where I can find full quarter panels for an 86 Bronco? I can find every model except 80-86.

Nobody sells them, the closest thing you will find is a half quarter, from the upper body line down.

Damn. I need just below the top and around the back corner above the tail lights. I found the wheel arches, but I need big flares to cover the 35s so it will pass inspection anyway so sawzall is going to take care of that

Yeah, I don't know what the deal is. They make 78/79 panels, and then 87 - 96 panels. Just skip the 80 - 86.
About a year ago, I found a dealer on the other side of the U.S. who had one sitting in the box in the back and they shipped it to me.

You might be able to luck out and call around and see if anyone still has one, since they used to make them.

Quarters

I have some I'm getting ready to cut out of an 86... Will need some work, but they are rust free that I can see. the right one has a small imperfection just above the RR tire, but fixable. the left one has a pretty bad dent on the top back where it looks like they backed into something. Might could cut the corner out of your old one for it. where are you located? I'll even throw the birds nest in with em...lol!

That corner is where mine is bad, wonder how hard that would be to fix? I’m in wv

mpqualdie 02-27-2019 10:58 AM

I know it's very difficult due to the inner liner. on my 86 I restored I had a similar dent, but nowhere near as bad, caused by the spare tire holder. I actually cut part of the inner liner out of the way, straightened the dent, the welded the inner liner piece back in...

Where are you located?

One should be able to buy the complete quarter for an '87-'96, and then graft the wheel arch patch panel for an '80-'86 on. Probably your best bet.

If you don't care about the body lines, the 87 - 96 can be made to fit. Then, you could put fender flares on it or something.

But, the lines are quit different, and it would take a lot of hacking and cutting to put the two together to create the 80 - 86 body lines from it.

This is the 87 - 96 panel.

This is the 80 - 86 body lines. The bottom edge is the same, but the wheel well is completely different. I also believe the mid-height line down the side is different.

Again, if you're just patching it up and don't care what it looks like, just use the 87+ panel. But otherwise, it's not easy.
I really have no idea why they skip the 80 - 86.

1980/86 Bronco: TWO different right quarter panels:

EOTZ-9827840-A .. Right Quarter Panel - Use without swing-away spare tire carrier / Obsolete

EOTZ-9827840-B .. Right Quarter Panel - Use with swing-away spare tire carrier / Obsolete

EOTZ-9827841-A .. Left Quarter Panel / Obsolete

No Ford dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any, none on ebay.

I know the rear around the tail lights are different, but are the 87-96 body lines similar enough to weld these wheel arches in if I were to get the newer quarters?
