The Return of Vehicle Health Reports?
 

As many of you know, Ford discontinued vehicle health reports for "2008-2016" vehicles starting on August 1st 2018 and the only way some owners could continue to receive these reports via the FordPass app and also having the report emailed to them is to purchase SmartLink.

Well, this past weekend, Saturday to be exact, when I logged onto FordPass, I received my vehicle "Health Report" and it asked me if I`d also like to have it emailed to me so I said yes to once a month. I wasn`t expecting it because I figured it must be some kind of FordPass system glitch but low and behold this morning, I received my report to my email addy.

If any of you are wondering if I purchased the SmartLink to continue to receive the health reports, "NO", I do not have SmartLink on my 2016 F150.

Perhaps FordPass, SYNC, or Ford in general has reversed course on their earlier decision to stop supporting 2008-2016 vehicles and I also wonder if this has anything to do with the non availability of SmartLink devices for sell.

Have any of you checked FordPass lately for the Health Reports?

I have been receiving the emailed vehicle health reports in Jan and Feb. I was very surprised by this since I am in Canada and a year or so ago I believe these were not available to Canadians (or I was doing something wrong). I believe it to be a feature of the FordPass app.

Perhaps you set this feature up in FordPass and didn`t know.
Unless something has changed, the only way one can start receiving the Health Reports via email is by signing up either through ForPass or Owner/Ford.com
