Smog Delete?
 

Hey guys

Pulled the engine on my 1984 Ford F-150 2wd 302

And before re-installation i was looking to delete the smog pump

Is this a good or a bad idea? I was planning on running hooker headers and hooker exhaust and I have a Edelbrock Performer 289 and A 4 barrel carb

What will I need

And what vacuum lines will be left over and where will they run?

I don't remember does 84 need to go thru smog check up there?
If not then you can remove everything, smog pump, EGR, cats.
You only need the dist. vacuum advance, PCV, brake booster, HVAC and maybe the charcoal canisters to keep gas fumes from getting into the cab.

beware if you have AOD trans how to adjust pressure for other carbs than stock 2 barrel.
