73 f250 ranger speakers?

Hello all. First time in this forum. Lots of good info. One thing i couldn't find is something i need. I just bought a 73 ford f250 ranger xlt. AM stereo powers up fine, but there are no speakers in the car. I can't find where they would have gone or were wired anywhere. They aren't behind the seat or in the dash. Anyone able to help this newbie?
Thanks

Speakers and wiring were optional.

Thank you for such a quick reply. figures why i couldn't find it since i was't looking in the door. I traced the wires and nothing went to the door panel so i stopped looking. Never thought it would have a radio and speakers would be optional. :)
so i see two wires coming out of the deck. one is blue/black stripe. i expect that is power/light. there is also a capped black one. i expect that is for sound?

On an AM radio the one speaker is in the center of the dash. The wiring of the radio goes Blue/red stripe=lights, Yello/Black=power, ground is through the chassis to dash. Then there is a second two wire connector up to the speaker.

Not sure if you want to keep the original AM radio, but installing a new, aftermarket radio is pretty easy, other than some slight modifications for fitment in the dash. There is some aftermarket support for newer radios that keep the original look so you don’t have to cut your dash at all. But running some new speaker wire to the doors isn’t that difficult. Radio is simple and only requires a few connections: constant power, switched power, ground and the speakers.

My '79 F350 ranger has a single speaker right in the center of the dash

Thanks all. It definitely was in the dash and the door. But mine had the dash option. I missed it the first time i looked because the busted old speaker had broken off and was down in the bottom of the dash. All cleaned up and playing like a champ.
Thanks again.
