95 no odometer / speedometer rough shifting

I have a 95 that the odometer and speedometer stopped working today. It has happened a few times in the last couple years but usually if you turn it off or wiggle the key it comes back on. When it is not showing the truck still runs but it shifts very hard through the gears. It is an automatic. I also found out tonight the the 4x4 dash switch is also tied into this somehow. After parking on an incline in snow I later found out i had no 4x4. I am not sure if it is related or not but a couple months ago the truck started running very rough.Went through the fuel system and checked pressures on both tanks as well as new filter with no change. I pulled a couple fuses 12 and 13 to see if it may reset the ecm but it also did not change anything . Any ideas on what I may check next.
Thank you

Your not getting power from fuse #18 in the dash fuse panel.

I agree with subford. Fuse 18 controls speed sensor, shift sensor and believe the door chime as well. Does it "ding" when the door is open? If not, there's another indication to fuse 18.

Thanks guys ... As you said it was 18 . What I'm not sure about now is what caused it to blow.
Thanks again
