Looks good, at least what I can see of it !

I wonder what kind of frame mods he had to do? the pictures look like he did this back in the 70's but its a 97 Ford 3/4 frame so it couldn't have been that long ago. maybe pics were taken with a polaroid and then they sat in a drawer for 15 years getting "aged" :)
Anyway, I think the truck looks pretty good!

Yes, the clearance and stance for a long bed is better than a lot we have seen.
If the drivetrain is functional, the engine still useable and the fenders, cab and bed are still as solid as the picture sort of show, then the price isn't bad either.
I'm sure it needs plenty of finishing touches though...does anyone ever finish a swap??

Seller says the engine is in pieces, so I'm guessing it's non-op. No telling if it was ever finished or how much hackery was done to get it to where it is now. It is local to me if anyone was really seriously interested in it.

ha ha ha - you are right - won't know how well assembled until seen in person up close. But the wheelbase centering looks like a good fit.

Here's one I saw on Facebook Marketplace tonight. A 55 on a 1980 Blazer frame. And it looks like it's finished!

There was a finished 55 up here too like that one abe..just a different color..

Here's another one I saw on Facebook Marketplace tonight. A 56 on a 1976 F250 Highboy frame. It looks good. Maybe because it is a flatbed and the rear wheel placement is not as important.

I think doing a frame swap for a 4x4 is a bit easier. As long as the wheelbase is correct you have a lot more flexibility on track width. Its OK to have the tires out past the fenders a bit.
Also, especially for the older trucks (48-52) the F2 and larger trucks have the larger wheel openings in the fenders and work well with big nobby tires.
