Windshield wipers going on for no reason

I have a 2016 F-F350 6.7 and have been driving around and the windshield wipers turn on when the switch is off. Wasn’t sure if anyone was having the same issue? I thought maybe the wipers go on like a courtesy wipe when you sue the blinker. Not sure what the deal is.

All the time or is it one swipe randomly?

Mine does that once in a while, especially when I've plugged something into the OBD2 port. Lately it's been doing that when I've been hunting. I'll park and turn the truck off and before I restart a few hours later I'll turn the headlights off (from auto). I do this because I've noticed the lights don't come on right away if I leave them in auto. I guess the truck freaks out because the door is never opened. When I start it I'll get one wipe and then everything is normal.

Probably the mfs itself (the multifunction switch). Had to replace it in my 2011 a few years back due due random wiper issues. Easy to do.

It's pretty normal. Mine has done a single swipe 4 or 5 times right at startup. Like said above, replace the switch if you want.

Mine was doing the same. The replacement part is the whole blinker arm/assembly . I recall the part being pretty cheap, around $38 from the dealer.
I changed it in my driveway in about 30 minutes.

If you go into the settings and enter the vehicle menu there is a section labeled wipers in there it gives you the option to do when you turn your vehicle on the wipers to automatically turn on . That might help ?¿

I had my 1999 Ranger do the same. They replaced the switch.

I change the wiper switch and it fixed the problem. Thanks!

Thank you for following up.

I had this issue with mine and noticed that there was some travel in the switch at both ends of the rotational travel. With replacement switches being pretty reasonably priced I figured I'd try turning it just a little too far on and then to the "regular" off position and I'll be damned if it didn't fix it!
