Water Injection

Haven't seen much on the site about using just plain water injection on our 7.3s. I was thinking about the possibility of using Snow’s system along with AFE blade runner intake. Setting aside cost. Any Experience??

I had thought about it for controlling EGTs but after so much success with the SXE T4 setup I will probably go that route and eliminate maintaining another system.

This is spot on. Who wants another fluid to keep track of and another system added to the truck, not me...

I think it's better to solve EGT issues with more air. Use the correct turbo for your set up.

I agree with the previous statements. Why use water to solve a problem created by lack of air? I would also be concerned with accelerated wear in the cylinders due to steam washing oil off of the cylinder walls.

I agree with all that was stated above.

Running 160s to 250/200ss on a 362,366,and a 369 and old gen2 4 frame BWs, with varying tuners (we have tried them all except Cody) at high altitude we still ran into EGT issues when towing heavy. I personally have ran water for over 500k miles on my obs when pushing 25-40psi of manifold pressure on a 8-14 gph single nozzle. Motor is still in the truck nearing 640k. It has been ran as low as 10-15psi as well. Never have I ever had an issue outside of loosing manifold pressure switches. I'd run water on every truck we own if we could, if they all put down the power that required it.

This knowledge was passed on from my conversation with you!
