Seeking recommendations for a good forum for WMO discussion.

Our alternative fuels forum gets little action so I'm looking for a place with discussions on WMO in the 7.3 PS. I've been running it in my IDI so I have some stuff figured out, but looking for people experienced with it in the PS to figure out viscosity limits, how to thin it, and other stuff like possibly adding a second tank for warm ups on pure diesel.

With our injectors and how they run, I wouldn't even consider a 90/10 mixture. How much money are you really going to save versus how much injectors cost? 7.3 is a different animal than the IDI.

The ratio that most ran was 50/50. Seemed anymore would smoke. You can start with a 25/75 75% RUG, then continue to cut it until she shows signs.
i ran 100% wvo for 4yrs. Would flip back to the gready side if i had the room at my pad.

I've already run well over 90/10, but it was brief and in warm weather. I've heard of guys running 50/50 and up to 100% with two tanks to end and start trips on diesel. AFAIK the main issue with the PS injectors is keeping the viscosity low. Do you have other insight as to what WMO will do to injectors?

75% RUG?!? Or did you mean 75% diesel? From memory people talked about using up to 30% RUG in their WMO to thin it out, but no higher. And many warned that RUG in high enough percentage can take out injector O-rings and other rubber parts. I run old RUG in my blends for the IDI just as a way to discard the stuff, I wind up working on neglected boats & bikes with old gas that I remove and burn. RUG does strange stuff when added to the oil, I assume it's just some kinda solvent reaction(?) but even in small amounts it makes a big difference in how the oil looks & acts. Might be a good system cleaner or might be bad for stuff, no clue.

Considering the alternative fuel section employs ALL TYPES of vehicles, i could be off with % thinking they were referring to our rigs..id go back to the alternative fuel section and turn the pages to around 2011/2012 era..when it was really banging. Other site that comes to mind was the org.com..same time frame too...

Describe what is WMO .
EDIT-EDIT I deleted this section as it did not answer your question.

WMO=waste motor oil. Also usually includes other lubricants/fluids like ATF, hydraulic, etc.

Edit:and if you mean deleting my thread, ok I guess. If you mean deleting the alternative fuels section, I vote no.

I hadn't thought of going back, thanks. I did a brief checking and yup, there's a lot more info to be had. It was all the rage and then died off. Org.com turns up "503 Service Temprorarily Unavailable. I'll try again and see.

I've done it in a 2 tank system I designed for WVO. I found that any more than 30% WMO/70% diesel would get visible smoke and stink.
