It didn't happen to me, but these pictures make me want to beat the chit out of somebody. Do you think it is salvagable?

IMO, you sell it to the insurance company. It’s not worth the unknown gremlins you don’t know about yet but will show their face when you least expect it.

Sous hit it in the head.
upset & hart broke yes. But busy also.
Wreck must have hit pretty hard on ditch embankment. Grass all in ranch hand bumper 3 foot off ground.
Hole in bypass oil filter.
Amp and sub speakers gone.
All my stuff in cab gone.
A Piller guages and wires all the way to connections gone. Tools gone
Pass side spring sagging past level . Front Billstean shocks bottomed out and busted.
Ignition switch broken. Map sensor lines cut.
Trash everwevery. Maybe 5 garbage bagd full of men's and women's clothing.
Suitcases with clothes. Maybe 6 backpacks full of stolen stuff from somewhere.
Hand drawn maps of chemical plant parking lots.
And escape routs out. Maybe 5 laptops 10 cell phones.
Bottles of $120 cologne still in wrapping.
Oil all in engine valley .
Coolent tank half empty.

Online insurance estimate findings says
needs oil change. Trans flush. New brush guard.
And cleaning.
$1400
$1400 my but.
I'll call insurance adjuster assigned to it after Christmas and have it towed to repair shop here to see what's really wrong.
Some dummy adjuster just looked at outside only I guess. And doesn't know what all was stolen.
Told wife I'mI'mI'm not arguing with them . There fixing it . Or totaling it ! Period

Looks like two meth heads . One guy one woman were in truck.
Driving play to place stealing vehicles and whatever they could to hock for drug money.

Get a lawyer if they don't pony up. Been there, done that....seriously. It is not worth the headache.

tigwelder 12-22-2018 12:51 PM

Hopefully not needed. But don't mind at all getting a lawyer.
I've got pics front to back.
Top to bottom. Inside and out.
Pic of every oil leak . Cut wire. Missing component spot. Damaged item.
Itemized list of damages.
List of broken or stolen items and components.. Prices I paid for them and where they were purchased.

I'm sure once it's towed to local repair shop they will find more than I did . And turn that estimate over to insurance.
I've visited and spoken to owner of repair shop where I'll have it taken a few times already .
He has seen my pics of truck and seams more than willing to work with me on it.

So, a buddy of mine on the OBS forum got side-swiped by a Kenworth....his fault....anyhoo, front fender damage, bumper damage, and tore off the front locking hub. It also also bent the trackbar. USAA determined, according to him, that they totaled it at $5k worth of damage. End result is $11k to him, buy back for $800, and he gets to fix it to new for about $2k bucks. This would be ideal for you as well. Don't let them F**** you is my point...which something tells me you won't. Cheers and here's to hoping for the best.
