No limit intake initial review

Hello all I just wanted to post my thoughts on the intake so far.

truck info: 190/75 full force injectors. barder stage 2.5 turbo. odawg s3r race ported intake manifold. atlas 40 tune on built ficm. gearhead tow, reduced, and full fuel tuning, innovative eco, street, and extreme x tuning on sct x4. 150gph fass. driven diesel regulated return. no limit fab cold air intake. ccv mod. 4 inch straight exhaust. mbrp up pipes. bullet proofing done. studs, updated, ect. built trans. coolant filter, high amp alt. truck is a cc lb, srw, lifted 6.5 inches on 37s with 3.73 gears

before installing this intake I had the stock setup that people claimed to be good up to 500hp and has great filtration. It wa the last thing I did on my mod list because I wanted that protection for my engine and turbo. I knew I was holding back the engine performance(prior to intake I was at 615rwhp) and that it would hurt my egts which at cruising speeds 60-80mph were between 1000-1350.

I got the kit and thought 1. I can't believe this will fit.. 2. this doesn't look like it's worth 420$
3. That's a large filter(afe pro guard 7) and
4. There is no instructions. For the money I had expected something.

The install was easy enough just fought the cold here in Utah. first i oiled the new filter and let it dry.
Then removed the old intake. Also did the ccc mod, ending at the t case cross member.( I do not like the smell of engine oil that makes its way into the cab and outside the truck. Can smell it over the diesel. I believe I will extend it to the back of the truck.)
I mounted the rubber bout to the turbo. Then Mounted the maf sensor and figured the orientation of the pipe. I put the filter cover on and mounted the filter to the mid pipe. The only pain was the wire harness that runs across the intake manifold and a sensor/clip that the rubbed boot sits on. I slid the unit into the front of the truck then into the rubber boot and clamped it all down. Im surprised it all fit really.

Initial thoughts on start-up were that it's loud in cab. Nearly as loud as my exhaust that's straight piped. Also that it's going to breathe a lot better.

And that's what I've experienced so far.
The turbo lights ill so quick now I can put the truck side ways in almost every gear if I step on it, Before it was only 1-3. I'm betting ive unleashed a good amount of hp feels like 40 or better.
The intake is loud daily driving but on the highway it fits in with the exhaust drone and 37 inch mt's.
I am also able to make long pulls up steep grades like parleys Canyon here in Utah with a lot less effort and oh my the best part? EGTS are so manageable now😁 I thought a cold air intake would help but I didn't realize it was bad.
Again I knew there was a good amount restricted before.. Temps pulling parleys with a small trailer were 1000 - 1400 going 70-80mph! Before I wound struggle to maintain 70 with egts at 1400-1500.
Cruising temps have been 800 - 1100
when before they were 900-1300.

So I'm grateful to be able to actually drive the truck without being on the edge of egt temps all the time.
great way to round out my build.

37” tires and 3.73’s? I am running 35’s and the gears are pigs. It feels like I’m going to blow my trasmission when I romp even on Reduced Fuel detuned by Gearhead. I am running 175/30s, S&B intake and Powermax.

Yea I didn't do the lift , wheels and tires, just the engine and trans stuff. A re gearing is on my want list but as I don't ever tow more than 5k it doesn't bother me usually. But I wanted to have people see the entire picture of the truck. I know a lot of people in the same boat.
