no power in drive

hi there
1998 f250 v10 4r100
I have an issue with my one of my 4r100 transmissions

parked it before summer - all good
started it back up when I got back, started driving, but as soon as the trans get som heat it starts slipping - bad, so bad it eventually stops on flat ground.
I can feel it go through the gears but it slips just as much in every gear.
the reverse workes fine
checked and changed the transfluids but no burnt smell or noteworthy particles in the oil
checked the internal solenoid unit but seemed fine
clutchpack?
thought about the internal oil pump going bad but wouldn't it affect the reverse?

thought maby you guys had any tips or leads

hoping its just a easy fix but I have been thinking about replacing the trans if I can't make it work

@Mark Kovalsky Hopefully Mark can give you some advice... Any issues before you parked the truck? Fluid level good and bright colored?

You're not going to get this trans working again. It's done. Rebuild or replace it.

Once they start slipping you only have a few feet left before clutches are destroyed. It sounds like you drove it awhile when it was slipping. That ensured that the clutches are wiped out.

If the clutches are wiped out what allows it to engage and work in reverse?

no issues, although I didn't check the fluid when I parked it since it worked perfectly.
checked the fluid when it started acting funny though but probably to late..
