Good looking trucks. Please stop by once in a while for the Silverado updates.

Nice truck...but why?

So sorry for your loss......j/k...that's a nice looking chevy. I really do like the looks of the new ones.

Congrats. Hopefully they don't have any problems with that new DSF system.

I find myself looking at them when we drop our 3500 HD off for service. But then I snap out of it. Just kidding... your new truck looks great. Hope you get great service from it.

5.3 is a proven motor but a lot less capable then the 6.2 in the towing dept.

Enjoy.

Fuel mileage? My buddy in his 2017 gets around 20 most of the him he says in that 5.3L.

I Bought the 5.3 knowing that I wouldn’t be towing anymore right now I’m averaging 22mpg I don’t think the 6.2 is capable of that!!!

22mpg so far on a mixed 228 miles

troverman 11-12-2018 11:17 AM

Sounds like a great deal, jackjude. I mean, you get stuck driving a Chevy now, but the price was right! Lol. It looks like a nice rig and I imagine drives nicer than a Super Duty.

6.2 does not get that kind of mileage.

I think chevy also does some kind of deactivation of certain cylinders to save some fuel?

It does and automatic stop and start helps a ton with fuel also but feels weird shutting down at a red light
