Leaking strut, safe?

We have about 5500 miles on our 18 Expedition, and love it. I was changing the oil the other day and noticed the front right strut is leaking oil. Took it to the dealer and was told strut is back ordered, and estimated arrival is Dec 14. They say we can drive with it like that, but wanted ask opinions if, A- it is safe to drive with that, B- will it affect other components, tires, balljoints, etc.
We have a backup vehicle but don't really want to park a brand new vehicle for over a month.

Drive it, they do weep oil doesn't mean they lost their full charge.

It is more than a weep, it was dripping on the rim while I was changing the oil. I'm just bummed that they don't have any parts avail.

It's safe it just that the ride quality will deteriorate as more fluid leaks out.
