100K Mile Maintenance
 

So my 03' Supercrew is currently at 92K (5.4 2wd), Is there any required maintenance &/or things to get looked at "Recommended" at this Mileage? Timing chain?
The previous owner is my friend & he told me that the coolant, Auto Tranny fluid, rear differential fluid were changed at 60K.
I replaced the original Plugs, ignition coils, upgraded to K&N Intake, Starter. Currently no leaks of any sort either. Thanks guys

Ignition coils are not usually replaced until there is a failure. They are on the same basis as shocks, tires and any other parts that wear or fail.
The K&N filter is not an upgrade.
Plugs, your call. If there are no misfire codes, leave things alone.
If you replaced the starter, on what basis was it done?
You cannot predict failure of any part anytime..
Tell me about it with over 290,000 miles on my 02.

Original Plugs & coils were replaced at 88K due to misfires
Original Starter replaced because it went out
Original Shocks & were replaced at 85K
Obviously failure can't be predicted I only ask because this is still a 15 year old truck.

Power steering fluid change and brake fluid change.

I would say you pretty well have it covered Mitch...What you have done is a great start for the future. Just keep monitoring as you go.. Double check the brakes........ I had a brake line rot out above the drivers rear tire area by the gas tank , if your in salt area... I normally plan starter and alternator change out at 150-160K miles due to previous experiences with FORD trucks.. Some run longer, some run less.

Good to know regarding to the brakes

I live south Texas so No salt other than sand down here. My Uncle has a 2000 King Ranch with 300K on his which I was amazed. I didn't know the 5.4 2V Triton was that reliable compared to the 3v /4v versions.

yes, the 2002- 2003 were very good years for F150........ the variable cam timing and a few other mods to the 2004- 2010 caused a variety of problems.
