215 Water Pump options

I can't find a water pump, or a rebuild kit for my 1952 215 I6. What are my options. Is there a way to use a 223 water pump(with a hub instead of a pulley) in conjunction with a certain bolt on pulley? Or are there any other options?

I got one from Green Sales a while back. Have you tried using rearcounter.com?

Mine came from a local auto parts store! I don't remember if they had to order it from somewhere, or they just had one laying on the shelf. This store is an independent and not quite like one of the typical national franchise outlets found in most towns. They have some old guys with the old parts books still out on the counters. They also have a "back room" with old inventory. I had my engine re-built at this same place. Bottom line--there are water pumps available for our engines--it's just a matter of finding one.

Hit up Cowboy John Plaskan in FL for a rebuild/core swap. He'll be able to rebuild yours if it's not cracked or possibly replace it with a known-good unit. I went this route for my 226, as I couldn't find a rebuild kit, N.O.S, or a brand new part. He'll quote you a rebuild cost + shipping. Turnaround time is about 3 weeks.

I've used him for my Holley 847 carb and for my waterpump, and his work is impeccable. Great dude.

Thanks ReForder. Not only did John have one, but the price was great.

Awesome! Glad this worked out. He really is an amazing resource for these old parts.
