How Much Is Your Payment?

Powertrain and trim level choices can really swing the price you pay but I was just wondering how we spread out across the distribution curve of monthly payment pain!

No offense, but what is the idea behind your poll? My brother and I can order the exact same truck and have 2 totally different payments depending on down payment, length of loan, interest rate and etc.

PentaPop 10-15-2018 09:48 PM

Just wanted to see what the most common range of payments is. The variables will just have to be part of it; I got an XL, you got a Platinum, my 524 credit score got me a 17% loan, your 815 got you a 1.9%. It’ll just all have to play into the poll and we’ll read it for what it is. Honestly, I just thought it would be interesting on an otherwise boring Monday night.

^^Yeah you're going to get all kinds of scenarios. I paid more than half cash and financed the rest

Ditto.. OTD was 57 and I put 30 down and will be financing the rest.

$530/mo for 72mo. Financed 34k on a 48k MSRP

My 805 credit score could only manage a 4.3% at my local credit union :-X15

Paid cash. Company truck.

Glad to see I'm not the only one at my current (absolutely ridiculous) monthly payment........We have a pretty decent interest rate, but I had to roll my 6.0's remainder into the loan when that POS $%&# the bed on me while traveling....

crewzer 10-16-2018 07:08 AM

We financed 100% (including TT&T) at 2.84% for 60 months. Our two auto loans are our only debts, so it's not as bad as it sounds, and the interest rates (other car is <2%) are much less than typical ROI.

Regards,
Jim / crewzer

I wish I was the one whose parents paid for it!

If given the option, check the ridiculous. Just because it's on the internet, does not make it true.

Remember that term and rate will greatly influence the payment.

This is the first vehicle I have financed since about 1995. I considered paying off the note when I got home but the interest rate is so low I didn't see the need. Also, because this was a 'spur of the moment' purchase I didn't have that much cash in my checking account so it would have been financed regardless. I traded my previous truck, which wasn't financed and the term is 48 months.

We all know, the better your Credit score, the better your rate is going to be. Selling you a New vehicle for a few dollars over Invoice isn't enough to keep the lights on. The profits at the Dealership is between the unadvertised Factory to Dealer Incentives and Finance. The Rate they buy your Loan for, and the Rate they sell you the Loan for. Everything else about buying a vehicle is as transparent as it's ever been. Used Vehicles .. thats the money department.

How did you still have a payment on a 2005? Guessing you didnt buy it new? 12 year car loan...that would be a first lol.

Crabbman P 10-16-2018 02:14 PM

I suppose another poll might be how many years is the term of your loan?
