Long block delivered

Just shy of two weeks after I ordered it, my long block arrived this morning. Now to get it put in! 😁

I love it that you made the old engine haul the new engine home... :-jammin

That would have been cool! Alas, with bad heads the new engine isn't hauling anything at the moment. That was just the best place to have the delivery guy put it. 🤘

I purchased a long block from an S&S engine rebuild shop out of Spokane Washington in 2006, and very pleased with their customer support division. I was not clear whether the warranty, which is 2nd to none, had conditions imposed for a 'self install', fortunately it did not become an issue after 9 years and the engine is running strong. I am not sure but believe S&S, out of Spokane Washington was bought out by another engine rebuild company the Tele # on the shipping box in the back of the bed is the same as the tele # on my receipt; anyhow, if S&J bought S&S I am please to see they are still in business.

JimScott you could have kept us fooled with hauling your engine home for a long time. Dave, I guess one of the S partners sold out to a J.

Good to hear! I hope to get many years and miles out of this engine.

Can we actually see the engine yet?

I'm going to open the box this afternoon. I'll take some unboxing pics.

JimScott 09-27-2018 06:42 PM

Well, I opened the box. I decided not to tear the plastic open until I'm ready for the install, so all you get now is a peak.
