Wave3 Heater@ altitude
Does anyone have a Olympian wave3 heater and use it above 8-9000' ? I'm fixin to put one in a Northstar 650 pop up camper. And in reading online Max 8-9k.
also, is there anything else out there as good or better? Thanks |
It's all about the ODS, oxygen sensor. When the sensor reads low oxygen from altitude, similar to high carbon monoxide level and low oxygen they'll shut down, all radiant heaters are made basically the same with an ODS.
there are other heaters out there for more money but still made the same. Thanks |
I'd like to know what you find out as well. I'd like to upgrade to a Wave3 in my truck camper. My furnace is making a lot of noise at startup.

I ordered and received my wave3, have it plumbed but not sure where to mount.
Might want to do a little research on the latest model wave3 , I read somewhere they're good to 12k, have no first hand experience. I had my wave6 over 10k with zero issues. I tried to sell my Atwood forced air for 20 bucks and never got a response, I thew it away didn't look back. |
