Have a link to a good DIY fuel pressure gauge setup?
Looking for ideas. Wanted to see what you all have done or have found.
Thanks! |
Here is my setup when checking fuel pressure

What size fitting is that between the sensor and housing?

Fuel pressure test port thread fitting size is M12x1.5. Most gauges are 1/8" NPT |
autex 0-100psi sending unit off of amazon. Connected to the universal harness on the CTS2. Same adapter as glowshift with a male/female 45 degree elbow to point it at an angle downwards so the sensor wasn't into the radiator hose. Couldn't see spending the $$$ that Edge wanted for a pressure sensor. Their pressure sensor kit still requires the universal sensor harness extension. I was already running EGT probe, so now all the things are monitored.

nope, works fine. Examine the o-ring for cuts/tears.

Hey, I purchased and installed this fitting and it leaks, badly. Did you have any issues with yours?
No I didn’t have any issues with it. No leaks at all. |
I figured it out. It needed a ton of sealing tape and a layer of rubber sealing compound. I think the threads are cut a little too narrow and allow it to leak some.
|
You shouldn't need anything on it, it's metric thread. It will go flush with the face of the housing, the o-ring will "disappear' when you tighten it. I wiped a little bit of diesel on mine and just installed it.
