Have a link to a good DIY fuel pressure gauge setup?

Looking for ideas. Wanted to see what you all have done or have found.

Thanks!

Here's my setup, working fine for 5 years.

I run a similar setup to JSM but use a relocation hose and snubber with my gauge mounted in the A pillar. I’ve had good reliability out of all three gauges over the past year or so.

It's the one from glowshift, metric something to 1/8 npt. I added a 45 to give more clearance and a snubber at Isspro's request. My oil pressure sender failed and when I called to order another one they recommended the snubber in the fuel pressure line.

Fuel pressure test port thread fitting size is M12x1.5. Most gauges are 1/8" NPT

autex 0-100psi sending unit off of amazon. Connected to the universal harness on the CTS2. Same adapter as glowshift with a male/female 45 degree elbow to point it at an angle downwards so the sensor wasn't into the radiator hose. Couldn't see spending the $$$ that Edge wanted for a pressure sensor. Their pressure sensor kit still requires the universal sensor harness extension. I was already running EGT probe, so now all the things are monitored.

Hey, I purchased and installed this fitting and it leaks, badly. Did you have any issues with yours?

nope, works fine. Examine the o-ring for cuts/tears.

No I didn’t have any issues with it. No leaks at all.

Thor'sHammer 11-01-2018 10:50 PM

I figured it out. It needed a ton of sealing tape and a layer of rubber sealing compound. I think the threads are cut a little too narrow and allow it to leak some.

You shouldn't need anything on it, it's metric thread. It will go flush with the face of the housing, the o-ring will "disappear' when you tighten it. I wiped a little bit of diesel on mine and just installed it.
