New to here, and a new purchase

I just posted in the introduce yourself, and thought i would post here as well. i just purchased a nice 95 F350 Crew Cab Dually that has had a heart transplant. She now has a 6.6 Brazillian with a 545 Allison and a brownie over/under with a 3 inch body lift. Still needs a few finishing touches before she's 100%, so I will be picking brains as I run across any problems. Right now I'm not looking to turn her up or anything till I see how she does in stock form. I know a little about diesels, but this is the first Ford diesel I've had. Right now, besides the "green goblin", I have an 84 C30 Chevy dually with a 6.2 that's my daily driver. Anyway, here are some pics of the new truck, and I feel I did very well getting her for $1000.00. Now if I can keep the wife out of her, lol. Oh, and she sounds sooooooooo much better than a Cummins does. Gives a nice body massage at an idle too, lol

That's interesting.I suppose so long as you can source engine parts easy enough.I wonder why it was sold so cheaply? One has to think that truck there would be worth more than that with no engine or trans at all.I know first hand that the yards get $700+ for those dually sterling rears cus that's the price I had to pay.An Allison trans and a Brownie unit has to be over what you payed again probably? Then there's the free truck and engine that all came with it worth yet again over the purchase price alone.Great buy.

Guy I got it from just bought a 550, and had more projects than time. He was thinning a few of them out. It was a case of right place right time. As far as parts, nearly any New Holland dealer will have most of them, lol.

Perfect. What kind of power and torque does that engine have? What year range is it? I'm not sure I've seen anyone swap one of those in.We do have a devoted diesel swap section here too. You've probably found it already.I don't check in there often enough.I should.
