Help
Good morning,
I own a business in west michigan and a couple of guys stole one of my utility trailers that contained all my tools. I am trying to determine make / model and year(s) of the truck in these photos. I figured that a forum full of Ford truck experts could help me to figure this out. My best guess is that it is a 1999 - 2004 F250 or F350 Crew Cab. I would like to know if there is a way to narrow the truck down to either a 250 or 350 based or if there is a way to determine trim level / package (Lariat, King Ranch, XLT, etc.) Thank you very much for your help! These pictures are pretty grainy, but it looks like the bed decal is FX-4 and that would make it a 2003.5/2004 model. If there are side marker lights in the Dumbo mirrors, that would confirm that...I can't make out if there's a diesel badge on the door. The step bars look like Lariat bars, but if you can determine that the truck has Lariat wheels that would be more telling. Finally, it looks like a factory two-tone paint job. An XLT or Lariat would NOT have painted wheel opening flares but a King Ranch would.

My 2006 F350 Lariat has the FX-4 sticker on the bed. Same front end (grill and headlights) and running board. Could even be 2007. Wheels look dark, so might be aftermarket. If you have a clearer picture or video, a diesel engine will have a larger diameter tailpipe than a gas engine. |
Thanks for the message Going_Going_Gone, I appreciate it.
So based on what you are saying, this truck is likely a 2003 or 2004 F250 or F350 Lariat based on the following criteria: 2003 - 2004: FX4 Sticker Lariat Trim: No painted wheel opening flares along with step bars and Lariat wheels (or could be aftermarket wheels). Seems like King Ranch has more of a solid step bar. Thanks again! |
