Across Canada in a 68 F-100
David bought this truck site unseen, and now he's driving it 2,500 miles home! Check out the first post about his adventure here!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed this trip is safe — and not too eventful! Ha ha ha!

Is that rubber burning or oil burning that I smell?

Wave at me when you go by Brandon!

Let's hope that's how it works out, and you don't pass him on the side of the road!

No video this time, but there's been an update! Check it out here!

The latest post is up, and you can check it out here. My favorite line is about teaching his co pilot to drive stick.... "Finish the whole thing with “good, now go learn better on your friends’ cars, then you can drive this when you aren’t trying to use the fan to pull you forward.”
Ha ha ha! I'm totally stealing that! |
This really wants to make me do another cross-country trip!

Yikes, this section of the trip just how dangerous some of rural Canada's roads can be, as our hero unfortunately came across a fatal accident along this leg. Yikes. But there were also plenty of high points, with friendly strangers and car shows to add to the memories. Read the full post here! |
They made it! What an epic journey — sure to be memories enough to last a lifetime! Read the final installment here!

Given that we're heading out of summer, it'll probably be a little bit before we see any members heading out on big road trips like this. But I'll sure be keeping my eyes peeled!

That's cool.I like to do this too but in something much more modern lol.David your crazy! I like it!:D
The cool thing about old rides is,what's the worst that could go wrong? You have to spend a extra day or so someplace replacing a part that costs a fraction of what a modern part might cost, aside from hard to find things, but everything that makes the old girl go can be replaced easy enough. I wouldn't worry too much about the old alternator (spoke about in one of the videos) unless your restoring a show truck or something.A good 3G alt conversion isn't a bad little upgrade to do to anything older. |
Love this story, can't wait to see where he travels next !
