4" lift recommendations
 

Looking to see what people have and or recommend. I want to go 4" and still have have a decent ride quality. Also any other additional parts that would help smooth out the ride. I have a king shock stabilizer on order. Also have 20s with 35x12.50 rbp repulsor tires. Thanks in advance

Really depends on your budget. I went with the Carli kit, but it is more expensive than most "off the shelf" kits. But you definitely get what you pay for and Carli puts in a ton of R&D and engineering into their stuff, and it shows in the quality of the components as well as the ride.

I've seen the BDS stuff as well, and it seems to be a good, cheaper option. Even better if you can get a good promo code to use direct with BDS.

If your truck is a diesel there is no shortage of options and choices for lift. If money is no concern check out the 4.5" packages from Carli. The 2019 I just ordered is a 6.2 Gas, though. For suspension lifts that come with replacement springs designed for the 6.2 Gas motor (lighter than the Diesel) you pretty much have a 4" BDS Radius arm kit and some Fabtech 4-6" kits to choose from.

I'm leaning towards the BDS 4" kit but I do not want any of the shock options that you can choose. I am trying to find someone to sell me a kit without shocks. I had such a bad experience with off the shelf Fox 2.0 Performance shocks for my 2018 that I think I am going with custom tuned shocks from Accu Tune this time around.

Mxsledder, which Fabtech 6" did you install? Basic (drop brackets), radius arm, etc. ?

Do any of you guys with the 4-4.5" lift tow any? If so, how well does it tow and do you use airbags?

I only have a travel trailer to tow about once a month, plus I sometimes tow the trailer for our BSA troop on campouts.

Your truck looks great. Do you have any bump steer? Any idea what your caster is siting at?

I've only done levels, no full suspension lifts - curious if the radius arms on your kit take care of adding back all necessary caster or if you still need caster adjustment cams.

I have the diesel and I tow a toy hauler maybe once a month, but mostly fill it with tools and material. I was looking into the bds radius arm kit, but I think I'm gonna check into the carli now. Do you guys think 4" with 35s will look off? I don't want the I skipped leg day look lol

Some will say absolutely it'll look like you need 37s, but I think it can be pulled off and look fine - especially if your sidewalls sit at least flush with the fenders, if not just a smidge over (gives it a wider stance, makes the tires look bigger). When you have too much positive offset and your tires are "tucked" WITH a lift is when it starts to look a little goofy (in my opinion).

I just recently bought the BDS 4" 4 link kit and it rides much better than the 3.5" Ready Lift I had.

4-4.5" lift is for 37's, Stock to 2.5" lift is for 35's. It really does look like the "skipped leg day" look haha.

My vote is the Carli, 4.5 or 2.5, if you are keeping your tires, I wouldn't go more than 2.5. Truck still looks big and mean with a 2.5 level on 35's and it still tows like a beast.

My son put a 4" BDS on his with 37's on the factory 20's. I am not a fan of lifted trucks but his rides and drives really good. It will rub a little in hard turns but aside from that it has no drama.

BDS 4 inch radius arm. Rides nice. Nitto Ridge Grapplers 295/65 on stock chrome 20's. Looks really nice. It's a clean look not a trophy truck look.
