Wheel lug pattern/size differences 2004-2018
I plan to purchase a 2018 F350 4x4 soon. Will my aftermarket wheels from my 2004 F250 4x4 fit? There are several incomplete charts out there for lug pattern/spacing and stud size that don't give me a good feeling.

Lug pattern is the same, the back spacing is what might get you. Do you know what the offset or backspacing is?

In 2005 the offset and size of calipers etc changed. A 2004 wheel will stick out about 2” more on a 2005 or later, provided it fits (17” and bigger seem to fit) |
Measure the distance from the back of the wheel where it meeting the hub, to the lip of the wheel (on the inside) and you'll know your backspacing.

I really don't want it to look like a skate board or put undue stress on the axle hubs by running the older wheels/tires. (actually the tires are almost new) I don't want it to look like so many kids Chevy's and Dodges with wheels that stick out too much!

The offset on the stockers is 40mm. I don't those would fit though. If they did it would be a very tight fit over the caliper and you'd probably run into issues with wheel weights getting knocked off.
Those wheels were designed for leaf spring front ends, not coil springs. They'd probably stick way out, and the issue with them being 17s. I'd just pony up for some new 18s or even run the stockers. You can run a 35x12.5 on the stock setup without issues. |

My current tires are ~34". That's why I searched for a truck with 3.73:1 gears. 3.55 is kinda pushing it for towing the 5'r up 6-10,000' passes with larger tires. I really don't want to shell out another $3k for new tires and wheels. Ugh.. And another grand for the 5th wheel package. -Steve |
Stock tires are 34-35” on current gen supers. Your tires on those wheels will look small on a current gen. The new motors are a world of difference too. Don’t spend too much time imagining a 2019 torque with a whee combo without driving one. |
Stock wheels arent bad imo. Are you getting a Diesel or a Gasser? I tow a 12k toy hauler all over the California mountain ranges and I rock the 3.31 gears...it hardly ever even downshifts with that 935lbs of torque....

You're on the right track. As I recall, the hubcaps for F-250 wheels won't fit on an F-350 due to the larger hub. That assumes that the F-250 doesn't have the same axle as the F-350.
I have a set of Platinum Wheels off a 250, that are different than the Platinum Wheels on my F350 (ultimate tow package)....the wheels look VERY similar....but the center is completely different.
