Front Seat Swap (console to jumpseat)
 

So I have been looking for a new truck with 6 passenger seating. I can't find one anywhere and none of the local dealers are much help when it comes to ordering. Has anyone gone from console to jumpseat in the 2011-2016 truck? Looks like a pain in the but but it would save me thousands. Any info would be appreciated.

One of the problems might be the air conditioning ducts to the rear area and the front seats run through the console.You would lose of of the 120v power sources and 2 12vdc power points. You need dash panels and ducts to stop the air flow and cover the openings. Just a few of the problems

What Larry said is mostly true, but that shouldnt stop stop you. I have done 2 jump seat to console swaps and the ductwork in the floor is the same regadless and isnt a factor. The duct work in the console goes with the console. there a few parts you would need in the dash to fill a gap left and has the cup holders etc... Best bet, put out that you are looking to swap with someone with similar interior. Or rip the console out and sell it. I paid $1,000 for a used one 4 years ago. Jump seat will run you $350. Hell, I still have the one from my 12 450. Go into my projects to see pics on my swap.
