My 2019 F350 Lariat 4x4: window sticker questions + status

I just gave my dealer a deposit to place my order. In a perfect world, some land we have for sale will sell and I'll just trade in my F150; if that doesn't happen in time, I'll probably get rid of the Shelby as well. Anyhow, here's the order:

2019 F350 Lariat Crew Cab 176" wheelbase
- Race Red (me)
- Black interior
- 6.7L PSD
- 3.55 eLocker axle (+ Camper pkg)
- Dual extra HD alternators
- Lariat Ultimate Pkg
- Quad beam LEDs
- Power moonroof (wife & kids)
- Adaptive cruise control
- BLIS
- 5th wheel prep
- Power running boards
- Ultimate trailer camera (me)
- Upfitter switches
- UGDO
- Heated rear seats (kids)
- Spray in bedliner
- Skid pads
- Trailer cam (me)
- Front and rear wheel wells

I don't have the exact holdback yet (believe it is 3% of invoice, but not sure if that includes D&D), but should come out right around $69,000 + doc/tax. Let the wait begin. Wheel well liners added to order later.

Status update 9/6/18 (below)

Hold back is 3% of MSRP before destination charge.

That's what I was thinking, thanks. So a little less than $69k + about $600 in fees + 7% TAVT (if I get a good trade offer on my F150, that will save about $2,100 in taxes).

8-12 weeks, but that seems to be the default answer they give everyone until they get actual dates.

Well maybe they will hurry things along since my red carpet ends in mid October. THAT race will be on!! Thanks!!

My dealer texted me last week to let me know we would hopefully get a VIN on Friday, which was surprising because they pulled the order and resubmitted it on Wednesday to take advantage of the $3k PCO. I was out of town for the weekend and just now had a chance to text him, so he emailed over the order and VIN information. Right now, here is the schedule:

July 31 - order placed, $500 refundable deposit provided
Aug 7 - front and rear wheel well liners added
Aug 14 - $3k PCO received thanks to wikel
Aug 16 - order pulled and resubmitted with PCO
Aug 18 - order accepted and VIN issued
Sept 2 - planned build date
Oct 1 - rough ETA

Seems like there may be a truck somewhere on the horizon. :D

That is weird. You should not have to pull an order to apply the PCO.

I might not have the terminology right. I was at the eye doctor with my wife and son, picking out glasses, when he called to say what they did so I might have misunderstood. I thought he said they resubmitted it and were letting me know they wouldn't be able to change it after that point.

You can only lock the PCO on an order when it's placed. You can't add it an lock it after the fact. It will cause a build date slip like this. This is well known and discussed a lot.

You can of course use/apply a PCO on stock inventory any time it's valid. But the important detail here is that the PCO was going to expire before gravedgr got his/her ordered truck delivered so (s)he needed to lock at the order stage.

Nice, Gravedgr. That's going to be one sweet truck.

Thanks, I sure hope so. I'm probably going to get rid of my Shelby. After spending so much on the truck, I probably need to trim some off the monthly car budget. As much as I like it, I just don't drive it enough to justify it collecting dirt and dust in the driveway. 14 months old and less than 3000 miles driven. :(

Might as well free up some $ and let someone else drive it (the Shelby), after all, you'll need some truck mod funds (left/level, tires/wheels, shocks, etc, etc. , etc.) I'm sure if you've been lurking in the 2017+ SD forum you've already got yourself a list going... :)

BDS 4", wheels and tires (and possibly an AirLift system) are all being installed before I even take delivery. ;)
