Rebates,incentives

Need some expert advice.
April 2, put in order for 19’ STX. At the time, no “2019” incentives avail. BUT, expiring that day was $2000 STX rebate, $500 Ford financing rebate.
Dealer said rebates, etc almost always better at time of delivery, SO they weren’t locked in, even though those rebates were on 18’ model.
Now, on Ford.com, the same STX rebates were just announced, for 2018 models, they say nothing about 2019.
My 19’ order schedules to arrive August 7th.
What if there are absolutely no STX incentives? Did my dealer tell less than the truth?
My understanding is that, no matter what, Ill get at least the incentives that were in place April 2, even IF it stated 2018.
Anyone else in a similar situation? Thanks

There were no rebates for a '19 when you ordered and none now. Sounds like there were $0 on 2019's both when you ordered and now. You should have applied the $3k PCO when it was valid (Before July 9). You would likely get the ford financing rebate, but can probably get a better interest rate at a credit union and save (overall) much more than $500.

My Dealer locked me in the current incentive and the $3K PCO on a 2019 ordered July 5. He told me that if the incentives for the 2019 are better anywhere between July 5 and delivery he will lock them down also and if I see any to call him. He said doing that is just good business you the customer are happy and the money is out of Ford's pocket not his.

When ordered, I didn’t have PCO. However, I did have several PCO’s that expired July 9. Trust me, I tried and tried, dealer said couldn’t apply since PCO’s came after the order did. Also, truck at delivery would be past the July 9 expiration.
Called Ford marketing, too. Same story from them. So, essentially all PCOs I had are not there anymore.

That sticks. I had a F150 on order (supposed to have delivery on Aug 7) and the dealer was able to get it applied. I ended up buying a 250 on the lot last Friday instead, and still had it applied.

What did that dealer do in order to have applied? Is there a novel way of doing so?

Had to show the deal in process before July 9. Initially they told me it couldn't be done until I said I found another dealer (I did) that said they could get it applied.

I can't help you in this situation but here is some advice for the next time. Have the agreement printed and signed by both parties. What I mean by that is have them write out the price of the truck, any and all incentives, and give them money (earnest money). This is an enforceable agreement and you KNOW what you are getting. If there are "better" deals/incentives at the actual time of purchase then a reputable dealer will "change" the deal, this has to do with customer service and repeat business, and is zero money out of their pocket. I have always given $1,000 and had a signed deal and the truck ordered in my name. Others say they have "ordered" a truck and in reality they have just requested a dealer order a truck with certain options. With a printed signed agreement the dealer owes you something, without it they can sell the truck to anyone in the door before you. Mine was a simple photocopy of the order with a receipt for the earnest money squeezed on the page and signed by the salesman and myself. Is it absolutely necessary? No, but it does resolve a lot of issues and questions through a process that takes 3 or more months.

I stumbled on a couple of interesting links, plug in the vehicle data and it lists all the discounts and incentives available.

https://bobthomasford.com/Incentive-Search
https://www.nadaguides.com/Cars/2019...-8-Box/Pricing

I was able to use USAA and Farm Bureau, $1,000 customer appreciation, and an old $3,000 PCO. There may be more once I ask the dealer about some of those listed.
