95 bronco long cranking before starting

This is driving me bananas. A way back the bronco would crank right-off on a cold start but later after going shopping for 15-30 minutes (hot engine) it would crank and crank before starting. Now it has to crank and crank to get it running on a cold engine. and sometimes it cranks right-up hot or cold. First thing I replaced with a grey ICU, no change, next put in new dizzy, not rebuilt, next checked out fuel pressure regulator it checked ok but will replace for the he-- of it . Once started bronco runs fine ,smooth and no misses. It reminds me of my days with carbs flooding except in this situation I see no smoke or smell of gas. Any ideas?

Your 1995 Bronco requires a black colored ICM. How did you check the fuel pressure regulator to determine it was okay?
