I installed a Kenwood DDX9903s using the iDatalink KIT-FTR1 kit. I also installed the Maestro RR to add OEM features. |
Looked at this a while back, wanted Android Auto for maps , You can buy the new face plastic to accept a Double din and the wiring all online
Its made by Pac Audio Or as H20Camper just mentioned |
Replacing Sony? |
As long as you do not have sync 3 either of those kits will work, I have that exact radio in my XLT using the Pac kit. Both of the those kits come with a module, make sure to update the software on the module before installation also.

I'm going to do something similar as what h20camper did. Got everything from Crutchfield and will attempt installation this weekend. Hope everything goes in smoothly. This is what I got:
Kenwood Excelon DDX9904S Metra 40-EU10 Antenna Adapter Crutchfield Advanced ReadyHarness Service (this is basically the wiring harness for the Maestro. I think you can also get it on Amazon) iDatalink Maestro ADS-MRR Interface Module iDatalink KIT-FTR1 Factory System Adapter |
The biggest struggle I had was removing the OEM Y shaped metal bracket at the top back of the dash. The documentation that iDatalink provides is good.

That is a very good video!
I liked the iDatalink dash kit better than the PAC. I like the storage slot and the two USB, one HDMI and one 3.5mm audio jacks it provides. I have a 1 foot USB cable that works perfectly for jack to phone. I also preferred its HVAC Control location. https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.for...d48cdfb574.jpg |

(UPDATE: I see what you're referring to with their module.) https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.for...ef7d99ec93.jpg |
