I also live in PA, and yeah it's a nice truck and I think he could easily get $4-5000 out of it. If he really holds out, he maybe could get $7500 out of someone who doesn't know better. But don't go throwing that "rare" B.S. around, and don't try to pass 162k as "low mileage". <50k is low mileage, not 162k.

There are some diesel duallies for sale around here, and their prices are absurd.
Here's one: https://sanantonio.craigslist.org/ct...610797042.html The ad has a similar tone as this one. Here are two 3/4-tons: https://sanantonio.craigslist.org/ct...614751389.html https://sanantonio.craigslist.org/ct...614750721.html And here's two 1-tons: https://sanantonio.craigslist.org/ct...604924084.html https://sanantonio.craigslist.org/ct...609316614.html I don't think any of these are worth the asking price, but that's just me. |
When I finish mine it's going on craigslist for $12k. I won't care if I sell it, but if I do I'll get good money for it.
|
When I bought my '95 a couple years back, it only had 60K miles and garage kept, stored winters(had maintenance records showing mileage/yr). Yes, I paid $8K for it. Yes, on the upper side of worth, but it was worth it to me to have a nice, clean, rust free Ohio truck.
His high mileage is more an issue for price in my opinion. |
I challenge that ad with this one. https://houston.craigslist.org/cto/d...613325359.html At least he says what you see is what you get.

Good lord, if you bump the Cuda while loading, you will need a scoop to finish loading... Because all that will be left is a pile of rust dust!!! :-missingt
Oh, and did I mention I think he is nuts if he thinks his price is any where near the value of said item, notice I didn't call it a vehicle.... too far gone for that!! I wonder if he has it listed on Ebay also... |

I don't mind insane asking prices, just don't try and BS me into "Rare" and "Low Mileage" and "I NO WAT I HAVE".

Yeah, I don't know that market. $15K seems ridiculous no matter where you are, but I could see the "right buyer" paying $7500, even if it's a $4000-5000 truck up there.
There's an ass for every seat :-X14 But then the salesmen walks out and tells me that they are asking 14k, I all but laughed at the guy and told him good luck. About a month later it ended up selling for $12,750. |
PT Barnum said it best.

Just decided . I put a couple Lightning stickers on mine & suddenly I'll have 1 of 3 ultra-rare factory experimental "Supercab Lightnings"
Should be good for at least 25, 50K... |
Maybe I can sell my ultra rare Matchbox car for some change!
