Trying to clean windows . . .
I have what I would describe as a milky residue on the side windows on older vehicles (2000 & 2001) that does not come off. You can still see through it OK but very annoying. It also has vertical streaks from rolling up & down over the years.
What will get rid of it? And how to get rid of it? PLEASE!! |
If steel wool, razor blade or rubbing compound won't remove it's time to replace the glass.

Try this product called A Maz in a tub, it's available on Amazon. Get the one that includes the White scrubbing pad. I originally got it for a shower door, that I thought was ruined and etched. It polished up and looks brand new now. I would cut the scrubbing pad in half, also it is mild enough that you don't need gloves to use it.

Those Mr Clean scrubbing pads work great. |
I hope we get a follow up report here. If the haze is between the glass due to deterioration of the safety film, nothing is going to remove it.

Amaz is good. 1. Polish it on and 2. let it dry. 3. Polish it off. Step two is important.

There's also Rodite. You can use a small polishing pad in a drill to get medevil on it if neccessary.
