Who's all towing with their 5.0's?
Would love to see some set ups of people's F150 5.0 towing rigs.
Some pictures of trucks and trailers along with a short description of specs of both would be greatly appreciated! Thanks |

My 5er, 2017 Wildcat 37' 9100lb dry. Truck has 3.91s and airbags to support it. Along with a catback, a 5* tune and a few other ods-n-ends, pulls it very nice! I also pull a 18' trailer with my 45hp Massey FEL 4wd tractor but I don't have a pic of those together. |

Quite a setup, good lucking truck. What's your pin weight? Must make a dent in payload.

My 2017 Standard cab F150 w/5.0 and 6-speed pulls a 3400 lb Wolf Pup trailer. Seems it is always hunting for the correct gear. 11.5 - 14.2 MPG. What advice would you guys give me as to to how i should be using this transmission? It sometimes drops to 3rd gear on hills. Many thanks to all.,...jack

I have logged many a mile pulling and I manually shift mine with the + / - the rpm looks like i'm driving a stick lol but it's so the transmission doesn"t have to bang up and down.. Between the throttle and the +/- my shifts are smoothe and timed all for keeping the engine up where the power is. |

No photo but I tow a 20' car hauler. Added 2000# Air-Lifts. . Never needed them on my 2004 F-250, a must for my 2013 Eco, so I did the same for the 2018. No long hauls yet but I like the 5.0 just fine. |

So I take it you tow through decent elevation and mountains?[/QUOTE] Yes, I keep it in tow mode, let the trany work usually have 6th locked out most of the time. Highest temp I've seen so far is 233, and only for a few seconds. Usually stays around 203-206. |
