1962 F-700 Unknown Engine

Hi, I am having issues figuring our what engine my dads old 62 has in it. (ill take some Pics and post them later.)
V.I.N.= F70WU282960
I used VinWiz ( vinwiz.com VIN Decoder ) and spent an hour or so Googling and have come up with more than what i had, though not what i was looking for. Id appreciate any help any one could offer. thank you. :)
The Valve covers have only 2 nuts/bolts holding each one down and the Cert. net HP=183 at 2100 RPM if that helps.

Engine is a 332 Lincoln Y Block, Not to be confused with the Ford Y Block they are not the same..

F70WU282960

F70 = Model, F700
W = Engine , 332
U = Plant Where Built, Louisville KY
282960 = Sequential Serial Number

Agreeing with Matthew - but something is slightly off on the information. The 183 Net HP at 2,100 RPM is going to be a Diesel engine - and in 1961 "W" was the 672 Cummins 6-cylinder with 183 Net HP at 2,100 RPM. In 1962 "W" was the 332 4-barrel 8-cylinder, but would have been rated at 173 Net HP at 3,600 RPM. Someone goofed!

Yup the 183 HP is for the NH 180 Cummins someone goofed or it is a 61 that has had it's engine swapped.

Pics would help if is in fact a Lincoln Y block and actually a 62 we can just chalk it up some one at the factory mis stamping the previous years HP rating for that engine code. This would make sense if it is an early build for the 62 model year.
It really is quite amazing how many errors on data plates that have turned up.

Regardless pics would help.

The 282960 portion of the VIN should indicate April, 1962 for a build month so my bet is on a mis-stamp of the HP and RPM.

Hardly an early 62 build so someone was asleep at the switch.
